SHARQI TV STATION so easy to defend

On Sharqi peninsula 16 player the TV station is a great place to defend
and rack up some nice easy points. Get yourself into a squad of, lets
say 4. one C4 guy two support and a medic. Have one support man and a
medic constantly throw grenades down the stairs taking it in turns so
as to get a rhythm going. Once you get going theres no way anyones
coming up the stairs. Get the C4 guy to place some C4 on the balcony
the get back out into the landing and start to constantly throw
grenades through the door onto the balcony also the spare support guy
can help to throw nades out onto the balcony when he isn't busy giving
out ammo packs to the other two guys at the top of the stairs. I have
tried and tested this tactic and it works brilliantly aslong as
everybody keeps throwing their nades in the right place all of the

There's lots of ways to defend those stairs

You can also setup a sniper to plant claymores on the stairs -- just hide them so the person will set it off just as they enter their peripheral [did I spell that right] vision.

So there are several people all throwing grenades down what could be a very empty staircase with a support guy chucking ammo packs behind them constantly?

Theyve obviously never suffered at the hands of a good helo pilot who hovers in front of the balcony and hammers the place with rockets and machine gun fire!!

I hate it when I nearly have that flag capped and then I hear the rotors getting closer.......and closer.............

You don't even need the helicopter -- just back the tank up and fire a shell or 2 into that balcony -- the splash damage will kill them for sure.

when I am a commander on sharki, I play spec ops, place some C4 near the flag pole and go hide doing commander job, when I spot an enemy there witch the radar or something, I just blow him up

Horrible strategy, cuz they will just cap and use choppers to blast the hell outa u, and u cant respawn there cuz theyve capped, claymores are the way to go

What about having a squad leader jump out of a helicopter on to the roof? Have his team members spawn continuously and work their way down the stairs with grenades. It would be impossible to defend if everyone was focusing on a ground offensive. All you need is a support player on the stairs leading to the third floor, and an assault class watching the ladder. A third option is to place a support/sniper/assault class on the hill behind the artillery for spotting purposes.

As for the claymores, claymores work only when the oponent doesn't suspect they are there, a single grenade (any other explosive) will blow both a claymore or network of mines. I'd say your best bet if you want to be lame about it (which I don't suggest). Is to rig the place with c4, put one down the initial stairwell, and a second prior to the doorway to the balcony; put two on the very edge of the balcony for hovering choppers, and the last one in the room, in case someone manages to get in. Then hide up a floor above the balcony. Sure you may not see it being capped, but you can bet they will feel it, the moment the flag goes neutral or a UAV loving commander.

The only way to beat that in my mind would be to have a sacraficial lamb or a n aerial insertion.

Lots of servers will kick you for placing C4 on a flag.

Honestly I find claymores to be very useful as most people will be heading to the flag in a hurry -- and those claymores blend in very well if you know how to hide them.

If a server kicks you for placing C4 on it. Then don't play in there. There is nothing wrong with it, you can place c4 anywhere you like. I never saw a rule that says you can't place it on a flag.
I agree about the claymores they are very usefull if theres ammo around. You can lay up to 5 claymores at any 1 time. Any more than five and they will start to dissappear.
