Attack heli pilots oppinion needed

I was playing on dragon valley yesterday and saw what appeared to be an impossible maneuver to pull off (Ive tried repeatedly i cant do it) the guy was flying the Chinese attack Helli btw.



Right if you look at the diagram the red line represents how tilted the the heli was and the black line his flight path. The guy seemed to be able to fly very fast then sudenly just stop and circle in a a small cone shape. And when i say cone i mean perfect cone shape its like he shot an anchor into the floor and was perfectly flying around one point. He wasnt tilted sideways when he was doing this cone maneuver the front of the heli was pointing down thats all and he was just perfectly moving sideways (anticlockwise) in the cone shape. What realy got me was his abilty to fly very fast stop do the cone maneuver fire one missle and kill infantry. This was also the way he took out armour instead of straffing the target like every other pilot he would fly realy fast suddenly stop do the cone maneuver and kill the target.

Now what id like to know is this maneuver possible or is it a cheat of some kind . I personaly fly exclusivly by keyboard so i know for a fact i cant pull of most maneuvers (but i can a barrel role and loop the loop ) but neglecting this fact i just cant figure out in my head how he could move sideways without tilting the heli to the side it just dosnt seems possible. And the ability to be flying very fast then just suddenly stoping and pulling that maneuver seems to defy the in game physics.

Its done by adjusting your mouse sensitivity in the control options under helicopter and lots of practice.

Yeah man its totally posible. I do it all the time to spin round apc's and tanks to unleash furious hell on them!! I don't tend to do it in a tight space like that though. i prefer the freedom of pulling out as fast as i can at any time. But yeah man i'de say he was just genius at it.

But how does the heli move wideways without tilting sideways ?

EDIT : this is so hard to explain (the way it moved) in nearly 300 hours of playing this game no one has ever flowen like this that ive seen.

That is awesome move. I am going to have to practice it. I would say actually the best way to fly the helo is by keyboard with high sensitivity. But it would be very hard to be targeted if you got really good at that move :)

Just turn your helo and don't tilt or counter tilt to compensate for the rotation.

Chopper pilots use to do that with the Cobra in BFV all the time...it drove me nuts

Anyway, just be thankful that not every pilot can do it

Just turn your helo and don't tilt or counter tilt to compensate for the rotation.

Useing the default keys what would i have to press ??? sorry man i didnt get what you were saying.

OK so you are doing a turn in your helo....
Use your torque point your nose down and keep turning.... W
A S D
Using your mouse to keep you steady and pointed the way you want.
Practice up really high first so you can build up your confidence and then try it closer and closer. Start with big circles and try to make them tighter and tighter. It will take alot of practice but is very achievable :)

Also the only way you can turn with your nose down and maintain your position is by using your torque.

Hmm ill have to try that but everytime i have tryd it i either start sping on the spot or going of an a mad one nothing like a cone.

Actually ive got an idea are you or anyone willing to jump on an empty server now and doing the maneuver and ill tell you if your doing what he did ???.

try it out slow at first

Start turning first and then point it down and torque up
