FLY full speed into the Essex and live!!

Earlier I was on the gulf of Oman in a USMC jet and I flew full speed into the side of the aircraft carrier I was certain to die. Or at least thats what i thought!

My jet just seemed to bounce straight off the side of the Essex without taking any health from my jet

Has this happened to you??

Was it straight into or at like a small angle. Ive been deflected and it makes gaining control damn hard before you go into the big drink.

Too much of an angle to expect to fly away again !! I havn't tried it since i don't think it'll work everytime lol.

Sounds like what happens with the hangars in BF42, where you could hit them at full speed and bounce back off and recover.

Iv'e bounced an F-15 on a few hilltops before, more like a bellyflop.
If you nose dive into anything you should die, i always have.

Doesn't just happen with the Essex. I've half-collided with trees before and I simply get spun round and lose half of the jet's armour. Most of the time though I end up going too slow to stay up and plummet to the ground.

Never bounced off a hard object, but I have gone too low in a f35 and skipped off the ocean, like a flat shiny stone on a peaceful lake at day-break one cool summer morning.....sorry i got a little too into that one.

You can fly right into the well dock in the LHD's in the plane at full speed and not die if you have practice.

I have hit the carrier gun done like a 720 degree spin fired the afterburners and flown off again.
