    AA Doens't Work

Ok, so I've always had this problem and can't seem to fix it. I can't seem to enable AA in BF2. I can choose the options (2/4/6x), but when I actually am in the game, AA isnt enabled. The problem has persisted through a reinstall of windows xp, multiple new drivers, totally cleaning the old driver files with drivercleaner, an entirely new video card (replaced defective x800xt), reinstalling bf2, and deleting the bf2 config folder. Specs are as follows:

    p4 3.0c@3.85ghz
    Abit IC7-G mobo
    2gb Geil ram
    Sapphire x800xt pe
    2x 160gb sata drives
    SB audigy 2 zs
    Enermax 420w Noisetaker

    Any suggestions? Thanks,

You need to use the most recent drivers. This was an issue with previous drivers however it has been corrected.

Also make sure in you Advanced Display Settings that the AA is set to Application Preference.

Thanks for the reply, but I always use the latest drivers. Currently, I'm using the Omega 5.10a hotfix drivers that were just released today. Before that i was using the catalyst 5.10 drivers, and had the same issue. In fact, I started playing bf2 when the 5.6 catalyst drivers were out and have had the same problem with every driver set since.

I haven't had a problem at all with AA working since the 5.9 Drivers or whichever addressed this issue.

Did you double check the AA to be on Application Preference? If that doesn't work then you may just want to turn it off in-game and force it using the Advanced Display Settings to see if that works.

Tried both and neither work. Any other suggestions? I'm out of bright ideas.

So no useful registry fixes? No awesome config file edits? no waving a magical wand and having AA turn on? Well, I'll keep looking. Anyone know if ATI has mentioned anything about this problem?
