Anyone have gfx problems like this?

I posted a while ago with a problem and it still wont go away my system is

Athlon64 3000+ Venice
Gigabyte K8N -PRO sli mobo
1gb geil PC3200 ram
XFX 6800 256mb pci-e shows as a LE for some reason
Audigy 2 LS

is this a heat problem or a game problem i really would love to know
only other game i play at the moment is AOE 3 and its fine after hours of
play BF2 will do this at anytime

i get aa problems all the time in bf2 but not anyother game i play, bf2 i think had gfx issues

some serious problem for you my friend,
but this isn't a heat problem if you ask me, if it was a heat problem you would get artifacts , not something like this.
also a vid card running to hot will cause an unstable system.

It's not realy a hard ware problem I guess but a software problem.
Try new drivers (wich ones are you using ??) or an older driver.
If this doesn't help, try reinstalling BF2.

There was a set of beta drivers i had that did that in BF2. If your not running the latest drivers (81.85) then visit nvidia for the download. If you are, then i dont know but its not heat.

That usto happen to me in BF1942 ( DC really ) -make sure you got your latest card driver
-And make sure you activate BF2 ( in the community page on the meny of BF2) like twice so it work properly... thats what I usto do and always worked...good luck

As the rest suggested get the latest drivers and install them PROPERLY. Check the sticky at the top of the Hardware forum about graphics cards to read how to do this.

Got the very same setup and had the very same problems.

Yeap got the latest drivers etc etc.

Only way I could solve it was to reduce all the VIDEO settings to LOW.

The problem has only happened once since.....this was due to it seemingly changing the settings itself - came up with the old 'wait while...optimization' during map loading, even thought I had changed nothing.
I then had to change to 'medium' settings and then later return all the settings to 'low'.

Been reading quite a few graphic problem stories (on other forums) and alot seem to involve the same motherboard chipset.

That only happens in single player I take it?

Don't forget to update the drivers for your mobo/chipset.
