"The server has refused the connection"

I recently bough BF2 and when I went to create a multiplayer account, I accepted the terms, filled out the required information and waited while it said "creating account", but after that it said "The server has refused the connection". I tried this a few times even making up email addresses, and at two different house, with two firewalls, routers and two internet service providers. If anyone can offer a solution, I'd greatly appricate it. Thanks
