Mine runs at 65C, no load with stock cooling.

Im getting water cooling though.

I dont think the 80-85 is anything bad. What is your ambient temp? Your house or location of you computer may be warmer than others accounting for some of the temp variation.

My card runs cooler than some of the other 6800 that I have seen yet I attribute this to my desktop being placed over the air vent with the AC on.

80-85c is pretty hot man. I would try to get those down a little. My leadtek runs at 50c idle and 67c load, Make sure you have good airflow in your case.

80-85 is only hot for a CPU. The 6800GT could take those temps...it also runs hotter than the 7800 series :shock:

mine runs around 75-80 after some hours of playing... stock cooling

I have the same system as you, with temp. of about 56c-67c normally. Hope this helps.
