yes you need to do all the .bik encoding though, i have my ambush at mashtuur video in b/w crunch w/o sound (somewhere on bf2files) and set as my logged in video.. kicks ass more than that generic karkand one

Get the Bink video converter tools at: http://www.radgametools.com/default.htm
Convert a video into .bik format and name it as menu_loggedin.bik then switch out the default video in EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/Movies with the one you made.
Haven't tried it yet but that should work.
