4xAA but still jagginess! Please help!

    Hi all!
I just got BF2 to work after a reinstallation of XP. I haven't got the hang of it yet but I'm getting there I hope.

When I play the graphics seem to be rather low. Even if I put everythin on High and turn on 4x AA there is a jagginess that I suppose shouldn't be there.

Is there some setting that I have missed? I have played FarCry previously with much better rendering IMO and i'm disappointed at the moment. After I have set the graphics, it tells me that the shaders will be detected and optimized (or something) when loading next map. Maybe is this detection going wrong for me? Please help!

    My system: AMD64 3500, Gainward 6800GT, 1GB ram, XP SP2, BF2 1.03

You need to update/clean/reinstall your video drivers. Check the sticky post in the Hardware forum on how to do this.

I have the latest from Nvidia. Got them today and they are applied on a fresh XP install.

I remember from FarCry (earlier graphic driver, different XP) that when I let the game decide what video quality that were preferred, it put it to low despite my (then) high-end spec. Then I forced it to run on high and it run beautifully!

The question is, as I see it how to force it to run on high OR how to make the game detect my graphics correct.

      Any more ideas?

I have read some Nvidia users have been experiencing this. I know ATI had the same issue but its been fixed with their latest drivers. My guess is that it is a problem with the new Nvidia drivers, so try rolling back to a previous version.

Ok. Glad to not be the only one with this problem then. I will try the drivers that came with the game sometime.

Someone else with expreience with this or other ideas?
