Also changes color, gets darker. They smoke to let you know they will be gone soon.

Because Battlefield 2 is obviously an extremely accurate military simulation.

Maybe it's trying to give the perception that it is burning from all the explosions.

Also, a guy with a wrench can fix a huge cement bridge perfectly in a matter of seconds.

Can I point out that BF2 is not real life, even though some seem to have trouble accepting that

If it was a fully kitted soldier wouldn't be able to jump 6ft in the air repeatedly trying to avoid certain death.

It doesn't make sense that a bridge built with wood would smoke? What?

i think everyone needs to be reminded once in a while that this is a GAME...

if you want a realistic type of setting, join the army.

If we would start to list the things that are unreal well...it would be a long list.
But we wont do that, cuz its a game and we expect those imperfections.

                              Try my point of view

Ok, view it as if it is a game and...oh wait, isn't it a game? Hmm... thats, possibly, why there are some unusual smoke on things and... OH OH I got it!! Let me guess!... It smokes to show it's damaged
