I actually saw a thing on the Military Channel about that, it wasn't a US F15 though, it was an Israeli owned one and it had about a one foot stub of wing left. My guess is, if that ever happened again, the person would not have the same results as that guy had, you'd probably have better odds of robbing the Belagio at gunpoint than landing that jet.

But anyways, back on topic.

I found out that people could kill jets very early on. I was having one of my DC flashback moments when our team was getting its ass kicked yet we had all the air under control. I used to see this in DC and would fly by our runway only to see half our team standing there on a 64 man server, so I would circle around, come back really low and run as many of them over as I could and watch them get ****ed about it, then I'd tell them to get the **** off the runway and grab a flag, only to be disappointed to see them all standing there again... flyby again lol. But ya, I learned that when the demo came out cuz I did the same thing on the carrier and got owned by a a few people standing there lol. Yes, I know, I'm an a$$hole

Either way, even a large bird will do some damage to a plane at any reasonable speed so hitting a body would still in all likelyhood actually trash the jet.

But we can agree that it would kill the person?!

IS YOU! Me and my friend were on an Operation Clean Sweep server tonight and we were being chased by a good F15 Pilot. Our plane was at about 4 bars of health left sirons everywhere. He said on TeamSpeak "Jump out so this a*s doesn't get 2 kills" so I did. But Amazingly I HIT the other plane and got credited for 2 kills (not parachuting, just freefall.)

Sufficet to say he never chased us again in the game, but this example really shows how bad the physics are in this game. For all you little newbis saying there is no way to killing the jet, its overpowered this, overpowered that, well a lone player that gets owned by bullets in freefall kills it.

Still, this requires you to get into another form of airpower. As I said, only air power can beat air power, and that's precisley the flaw. Everyone needs to become a pilot or die. Then this isn't battlefield, it's a flight simulator.

Yes, the collision engine still needs a lot of work. Today I killed almost undamaged Abrams just by proning on the ground and letting him run me over....I was between it's tracks and when the back was above me, boom. And I survived.
