One-shotting APCs

I was in a squad recently with this guy who was tearing APCs apart. When I asked him how he was doing it, he said he is able to 1-shot APCs by hitting them in between the base and the wheel if I remember correctly. Not sure what he meant and I was never able to watch him carefully enough amidst all the chaos. But I do know he was setting wave after wave of APCs on fire in very short order. Can anyone help me figure out how exactly he was doing this?

Oh, just thought I would add, he was using the Eryx fwiw.

APCs dont have damage areas as far as I know. Only the tank has weak spots (in the rear or in the tracks). Wasnt using a TOW was he?

apc has weaker armour on back too

Well what I noticed so far since I use the tank a lot ( YES I AM A SMALL TANK WHORE SOMETIMES ! =)) ! ) if you hit a tank right between the turret and the body it takes much less hits. Call me crazy but sometimes I only take 2 shots to wreck a tank.

Ive done alot of testing on were to shot a AT missle on tanks and apc and ive found lots of spots on the tanks but never found anything realy that good on an apc i think i know were your saying ill do some testing and see brb.

I just messed around on a server for about 5 minutes shoting an apc in the centre gap of the wheel arch on the usmc apc the best i could get was about 60% life off with one AT round.

Stalker-NSDQ theres lots of spots on the tanks that are weak but there very hard to hit and different on each tank. The t-90 its in the neck but to the side slightly in from the wheel arch (i dunno what its realy called) that can be a one shot kill or take the tank down to a couple of bars. If you want to get a tank in 2 shots evertime try going for the tracks each shot deffinatly takes about 50% of you can use a tank or AT kit to do that.

I know there are a lot of spots m8, I just speak from my experience. Overall 85 % of all my encounters took 2 shots. Or I guess I've been just lucky the whole time. =)

apc's cant take much, two shots to the front and its on fire. With tanks it just takes one TOW to the tracks or two AT's to the tracks.

tanks can be killed in one shot if shot in the "neck" of the turret. altough i have no idea about APCs since they are so weak no one really bothered to go look for a short-cut

Well that's good to know, I guess I'll gonna try this out sunday nite when I'm getting off work fellas.
