    Video issues

Ok i just got my 6600gt everything is updated and installed, so i go play far cry first, everything on that is ultra high and the game runs great no probs, i then goto bf2 turn everything on med and start a single player match. Runs great at 90 to 40 fps, but on line i can jump from 80 to 50 to 7, and at 40 to 50 its choppy. SO after that i shutdown bf2 and goto desktop, so i go to get on fire fox to post this thread, and the comp is acting slow like the game is still running but its not, i goto task manager and it says bf2 is off and the performance is normal.

i dont get this its driving me crazy, any ideas?

how much ram do you have? if you have 512 then that could be the problem.
Gotta unload it all. Before i went from 512 to 2 gigs my comp would always slow after playing graphicly intensive games too

You really need 1.5 gig or better of RAM, or reduce your game video settings.

I had 1GB in my last computer, and it would always be laggy for a minute after shutting the game down. BF2 can sometimes use more than 1GB of memory, so when you shut it down, it has to unload all the virtual memory it's been using.
