If I Render It..will Someone Skin It And Put It In Their Mod?

    I have not modded before.
but I would love to see a mod have the mini ruger-14 AC556.
a rifle used on tv series, the "A-Team"

this weekend will be my attempt at this.
I am A+ certified, working on my MCSA, and have a B.S in computing.
I have programming experience, photoshop, and have a concept of 3d.
i been avoiding the world of modding because it is work..and can be time consuming, especially if one is to do a full mod....
i mean, every object has to be rendered and skinned, let alone programmed in to the environment and engine. I would love to make my own mod but the amount of work is enormous for one person. Although I havent done anything yet, but the thought of creating a world is crazy..crazy work at least. i am about details and precisice-ness. keep everyone posted ..wish me luck!

 It's gonna take more than this weekend. :)

Seriously though, there's a fairly significant learning curve involved. I'm not trying to disourage you, just being realistic. Here's a tutorial to help you along your way.

Good luck! If you get frustrated, try something a bit easier...Modify the RIB for example. Do something you wouldn't epect to see. Handweapons are a bitch. Attaching the weapon to the correct bones, making multiple LODs, Creating all the animations (fire, reload, etc), exporting them, The tutorial above should be pretty useful though. BF2 isn't the properly documented so there's lots of little "Gotcha!"'s
