server list goes blank

i cant seem to find anyone else this problem

when i first pick multiplayer i get the update of all the servers no problems

but if i apply any filters or try and seach by server name my list goes blank and will not rebuild unless i leave the game completly and reupdate to get any list

any ideas ???????

The answer to this is in the tips and tricks section i think. Anyways, here is what you have to do ( i didnt come up with it, so dont thank me, im just relaying the info):

You can only have 6 filter settings checked. If you have 7, 8, or more, it will do as described when you try to update it.

so, go into your multiplayer tab, and make it so there are only 6 "X"'s in the boxes, Example: Same mod, Same Version, Ranked, Battle Commo, Large Maps, Medium Maps, Punkbuster Servers. This is 7 filter options, when i try to update with it, it will not work. But take away any 1 of these options and the update will work fine.

Wrong, restarting your game won't fix this glitch.

Listen to dythlt's advice. Just select 6 or fewer filters, and the list will refresh properly. It's an inherent server browser glitch. Restarting the game won't do squat.

Maybe because it defaults back to six filter items instead of seven. But what I'm saying is you don't have to restart the game. Just select six or fewer (sometimes you just have to select NO filters) and hit update, and you'll get a list. You can never use seven or more filters.

I just go to BFHQ and back to mutiplayer.
