    Landing Gear

I hate this trash. Why on gods green earth did Dice not make a button to deploy your landing gear??? It's so irratating. I go to land but my gear isn't out and I die. They need to implement a button that opens/closes it for god sakes. Anyone agree?

Ya, but I have never had that problem. The gear comes out at a certain speed.

            Re: Landing Gear

If you are going slow enough to land - your gear is out. Like others have said - you probably hit the deck too hard. Either coming in too fast, or too slow and you hit a small stall a couple feet off the deck.

Never had trouble landing unless I try to do it too quick or from a bad angle - then it is still all pilot error and not from the gear.

              Re: Landing Gear

your gear at high speed in such an airplane generates lot of drifts... so it only opens when you reached a certain speed (450) and altitude. its very easy to land a plane correctly if you keep the nose up the horizon, 10feet up the runway and the speed not below 290. (in the game! :p ) not in RL

To repair? To get more ammo? To get a passenger?

I got to try this out...I always thought the runways looked too short to actually do it...i will probably try it on the carrier and nose dive off the end...LOL

dont forget to reduce you engine power much more before you prepare to land... i mean about 750 meters is the minimum distance to get a decent speed over the runnway...
tip: try to fly whithin 50knots of 300knots at 200feets to practice your spped stability.

and why would someone land it? well, to repair more than 75% of your life(if there is no more annemy plane at your back) or to impress some people. to take up someone... just tell him to get himself in the middle of the runnway and then pass upsidedown over him while hes pressing "enter vehicle" button

once you land how do you turn around? is their a reverse on the planes to make turning around easier? Without it, I would think you would take up all the runway landing and not have enough runway in front of you to get up speed and take off.

If flying low over a runway, a person standing on the runway can just jump and hold the 'E' key, and if close enough, will enter the jet. The jet doesn't have to be updside down.
