And that is a good point... 99% of the time when I type what I type, I'm not standing in the middle of the road on wake taking fire while typing. Thats just dumb... Bottom line is no one is going to change their policy on swearing because of you guys. First amendment rights do not apply on a private server. As ironic as it might be to you that a server for a "T" rated video game does not allow swearing, it won't change anything.

So keep pouting if you want, but no one is coming to change your diaper anytime soon.

16+ game which is about war. and we get people upset by a few cuss words. Place get a F-ing life.

Now, some totty, middle class, middle aged, do-good, having a problem with bad language is understandable. BUT, I know they wont be playing a wargame like this.
Now on the battlefield in real life (not that I have been there, Im guessing) I bet their is a hell of a lot cuss words. I meant, come on, your life is on the cards and your telling me you aint gotta get abit upset and swear?

I have to say, I can go abit over the top at times, but thats cos of ar*eholes who punish within the second of getting killed, without and time to say sorry......Then I will join their squad and curse them on the mic.

totally agree maverick. i dont understand how a person who isnt offended by blowing people up in a make believe world can be offended by a typed word in a make believe world. people need to stop conforming to someone elses ideas of whats right and wrong and really think about it and decide for yourself. let go of your religion and upbringing, if you still think its wrong then ok but make sure you realize your ALLOWING yourself to be upset by another person who should mean nothing to you, afterall it is only just a word

Can't agree more. It's a 16+ game and kids below 16 aren't allowed to play this, if they do it's their mistake not the person who typed it.

Why do you think they didn't implent a text filter in the first place?

LOL. You should hear what comes out of my mouth while I'm playing. I suck when it comes to toe to toe, especially against bunny hoppers. That always warrants an F-Bomb, lol.

That said, I totally understand why a server admin turns on the profanity filters. If you've done any massively multiplayer gaming (going back to the old days), you've had your fill of the profanity spammers. It isn't that people want a Disney gaming experience. It's just that people on the Internet act a whole lot different behind a computer terminal than they would in person. If that pimpley little 14 year old loser who just told you your mom was a whore and that he pwned her last night too wouldn't talk that way if he was sitting next to you. If he was, you could take matters into your own hands and beat them to within an inch of their lives. And oh, how sweet that would be. But you can't. So you know what ... who needs em? Auto-kick. Cockpit. That's funny. I don't know what to tell you there. Can we get a patch?

Secondly, as you get older, it's really just a matter of learning that it pays to show some respect to the people around you. A little respect and consideration go a long way. You'd be surprised how it affects the way groups of people treat you. And the converse is equally true. So in general, don't be a smacktard. I'm having that tatooed on my rear end this weekend. Although you pay for the server and you're well within your rights to administer any rules you see appropriate, I must ask, why, in a game that awards merit for shooting people in the face with a bazooka, picking off people from a distance with a .50 caliber sniper rifle intended to disable vehicles, gives awards for sneaking up behind people and slitting their throats with a knife, etc. would you deem it inappropriate for me to tell the jackass on my team who just teamkilled me point blank with a shotgun to "FCK OFF"?

Because it's a "computer game". Bringing language such as that onto a server with people of undetermined ages results in a kick, quite simple really.

WHY in these very forums that represent a game with "shooting people in the face with a bazooka..." do they not allow swearing...

I type all kinds of messed up stuff in this game. When a person is fighting in a game like this and gets tk or owned by someone it just happens . If I get kicked out by admin I will add them to my buddy list on tracker and find them the next day . TK FOR ONE ROUND STRAIGHT .

Children should not be playing or watching this game . If you are the kind of a person that kicks people out of a game like this for cursing because your kids are watching or playing . Their foul mouths arent what you need to be worried about .

Is it possible that it is because the FORUM itself has no inherent age limitations? Given intelligent parents, there should not be any CHILDREN playing a game rated TEEN... However, these forums are not rated anything... they do represent the game, however, you don't see any animated violence in this server...

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those anti-violenge in video game preachers or anything like that. I find that a bit extremist... Why? because it's just a game. However, how is it not also extremist to completely shut out certain words in a game? They're just words... spamming electronic cursing... fine... boot 'em... I dont' wanna see it every other word from the same dude... But MOST servers have a 2 strike policy...

Bottom Line: The language filter is primarily to protect lil Jr's mind from being warped... If you think Jr's mind is going to be warped because of a little cussing, what do you think his mind is going to do when he plays a game that rewards for killing people electronically... Put bluntly, if you think he'll cuss in real life because he saw cussing in the game, what do you think he'll do if he sees killing in the game? If he can't differentiate between game and real, he's got another problem altogether. The other reason is that adults don't wanna hear? it... For one, that's an inherently rediculous argument because you can't HEAR me TYPE sh*t... Nobody forces you to read everything that shows up to your left, and certainly as an adult you should be perfectly capable of ignoring what you don't like... For two, in case nobody noticed, the USMC troops in the game cuss... haven't you ever heard the guy say, "Damnit, sorry"? Why does this happen? Because the game is rated TEEN and Jr. shouldn't be playing! If you're going to censor me in your Disneyland server, you ought to censor the USMC troops so that they never say "Damnit"... We wouldn't want you to get all upset or have Jr's mind warped if you heard him say that... If you can't handle cussing, you shouldn't be playing a game like this...

Well you can only blame yourself.

Because it is game that involves shooting at virtual soldiers doesn't give you the right to misbehave and use foul and disgusting language. Yes children and females also play this game and you should behave yourself.

two wrongs don't make it right as the saying goes. If you get TK's then you have the option to punish..
