You may parent differently but I for one do not one my child (when he is old enough to speak, of course) using that kind of language and thinking it's "o.k.". Yes, I have ben 13 (most people over 13 have been ), and just because some kids' parents let them swear until they're blue in the face doesn't mean I like it, and other parents will agree I'm sure.

A also believe there is a fundamental difference between playing cowboys and indians as a game, and then going to Navajo County AZ and murdering a native american. I think well-adjusted kids can tell the difference too. It's called the difference between make-believe and real life.

    Peace out :)

If you use "foul" language you loose the respect of decent people.
The only people you offend, will be the ones you dont want to offend, so dont bother. :)

        Maverick2201, look at it this way. A good friend of mine said it the best;
"I let my kids watch CNN and other news agencies, but they don't swear while they're broadcasting the news." Yes, they don't show the ugliest pictures and video on CNN, but they show a bit of what war looks like.

Some people don't like to see it and/or hear it. If you want to swear, go find another server that allows you to swear. I'm sure you can find plenty of servers that allow people to swear.

The problem is when people add words to the PB censor filter is that they use the loose matching and not exact. Ifyou ass "ass" and make it an exact match then you will not be kicked for saying "assets" If it's a loose match then remove that server from your history and move on.

i've been kicked for saying "d@mn" before. i made it a point to come back and notify their admins that USMC squad leaders say "D@mn, sorry." when they use "sorry" on the communications panel. the admin said "so what." and kicked me.

whoop-t-doo. not like there aren't 3000 other ranked servers out there to play on.

exactly... sometimes you can't help yourself and out of frustration yell SH!T but if you are deliberately verbally attacking someone then theres a problem

Sometimes i use curse words in a positive way like "damn man you are the shiit!" or "what the fuuck was that" etc etc. I don't think you should kick people because they curse a little! It's only words which won't kill you. Oh right the game is 16+ here! 16 year olds dont get offended so easy you'd think?

                            To #1-

Your $.02 cents accounts for jack squat in this arguement. There's nothing to argue about for that matter.

There are literally thousands of servers, and now we have a favorites list. I suggest you find a server or three you like, and stick with it. Then we don't have to listen to any more pouting here about being kicked for saying a naughty word.

Imaging 100,000,000,000 rolling eyes right now. That's what I think of your silly remarks. More aggressive behavior? For crying out loud, man, we're playing a bloody war game. We're running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to kill the opposition. You think we're all chilled out and our heart rates are that of a hybernating bear or something? If you do, you're completely insane. No, we're raving lunatics trying to fight not only a war with the enemy but a game that has enough flaws and annoyances to make even the Pope curse. On top of that you have pinheads out the yingyang that compound an already stressful situation.

As for taking the time to type, well, sometimes you have at least 15 secs. to burn so why not?

                              For example:
Tonight I accidentally TK'd an idiot, pinhead, microcephalic, moron, waterhead who almost immediately punished me before I could type in "I'm sorry." I was being shot at by an LAV as I drove my jeep so I was in a bit of a hurry to get away. In the process this frantic nitwit was runover. One could argue that my teammate ran into the path of my vehicle rather than stay out of the middle of the road, but it's all water under the bridge now. Anyway, I had to wait 15 secs to spawn so I took that time to let that insipid dullard know exactly what I thought of him and his punishing me for an accident.

Now here's something really funny. I was on a server called "Mature Ass Kickers!" Their server message said "no bad language because our kids play here." On my team was one of those kids. He had a headset and was talking to someone older, probably his dad. He sounded like he was 10 years old. I felt like I was in Chucky Cheese listening to this pipsqueak. I just a bit of irony in their choice of name and them banning people for cursing. I guess sh*t would rot the mind of li'l Jr but ASS wouldn't.

What I would like to see is some middle ground. Filter the bad words with ****s like this forum does. The person writing feels like they expressed themselves naturally and the admins saved Jr from the dark side of life.

As for cursing in your own squad chat - the server does not care. All chat is displayed in the same window on the server - there are no secrets from the admins. More than likely the sensor is just running a script on that dialog window - no matter where it is said, you will still get picked up by the auto script.
