I dont think it does mate i think there the mg's on the sand bags and in bunkers (proper ground deffences) but i might be wrong.

No, I think you are correct 18zulukiller. In order to get the appropriate badges, UBAR states that its the ground-mounted guns that need to be used

Does not count as a mounted machinegun for the ground defense ribbon/medal.

Need to be on one of the ground placed weapon systems.

Using the vehicle mounted ones helps with the transport badge though. Much more helpful to your team than just driving to a corner of the map and sitting in the vehicle.

No they don't count use the SAW or RPK thats in a base that no one takes while being commander.
