This tactic you should only use if you know what your doing. If you know an an enemy jet is on you, do a loop vertically, however make sure your not doing a loop by pulling up, do it by forcing downwards. In the middle of the loop drop your bombs, but make sure your rocking a little bit, and if you do it right you WONT be hit by your bombs, but the enemy fighter MIGHT fly into them. I use this tactic to get rid of enemy fighters on my poor SU, or F15 Bomber.

So far its worked 8/10 times for me.

For this to work you MUST be looping using the downwards motion of your plane. Its a well known fact that most enemy jets avoid moving on the outside of your loop, instead choosing to catch you on the inside. Also if your looping downwards it allows you to drop bombs at the peak of your loop without worrying about blowing yourself into oblivion in mid-air.

hmmm....
here r some of mine
1st dodging planes, always work, even on hotdog
to dodge with style i swtich to view infront, just keep going straight when u have a buzzer on u (unless they shoot u with the bullets) n when u see a rocket do half or a barrel roll then just dive down n keep doing that, watch their missiles n just fly straight, alot of people saw me dong that they just left me alone...
2nd if u want to practice ur machine guy skills, just fly preatty high n watch out for planes smoking, then slow go behind them n high then get close n close, cut the corners to get closer insteard of using afterburn, dont waste it.. n when ur finally on hiz tail, if ur a lil highr then him aim at hiz cockpit if ur lower then him aim at hiz nose n if ur level aim the the engine, make sure u dont miss tho.....

A lot of elements of real air combat don't apply to BF2 so well, but one that I have learned that is important is energy management.

In terms of air combat energy management involves your potential energy in the form of afterburners and altitude and kinetic energy in the form of your airspeed. Since in BF2 g forces have less of an effect on your speed than in reality, careful management of your energy is not nearly as important, when completely depleted of altitude and afterburners if you do the right thing you can still easily manage to stay alive. But in that situation you can't really lose the enemy on you. If you find yourself out of energy in both forms, I like to just go into a circular turn, maybe loop around once so that the trailing plane thinks I have given up. I then turn upwards about 30 degrees and corkscrew upwards. If the enemy is in the proper position he can line you up in his gun sights, but if he misses the proper angle you will lose him at this point. If he stays on you, just keep spiralling up and save your afterburners. At 400m you get the advantages of altitude as your airspeed increases to 1200, and at this point I turn steeply into the circle so that I am now facing downwards and just head into a steep dive at full afterburners. If you managed to lull your opponent with your spiral he might lose sight of you immediately and not be able to react in time. If he stays on you, you still have about as much kinetic energy as you can have, now is the time to perform some of the manevaurs listed above.

I haven't had to use that much lately, but when I was just starting to become good at flying and I ran into better pilots that saved me a few times. If you are just starting off and know how to perform manevaurs better than I can spell it, but don't know when to do them or how to use them, the extra airspeed and altitude might help you.

Just wanted to say one thing about this, if you do this against a smart pilot they will pull a low-speed yo yo and then you find yourself in the pilots nightmare, bogey at 6 o'clock high with nowhere to go and no airspeed to go there with.

I sucked at flighing big time, but for some reason, finaly I got it, and I am not the best pilot, but I ain't bad anymore and get my kills easy with the plane.

AND I fly with the mouse !!!

Tips ? well actualy only one tip, the rest is all practice, but here he is.

When there is an enemy plane on your tail and aiming at you, just pull up till the point you are upside down in the other direction, then quickly turn around so you are back with cockpit in normal position and then make a quick 90 degree turn to the right or left, 85% of the time you loose the enemy like this and won't get shot down. and use your afterburner when doing this thing, certainly when you are pulling up.


Just another tip, when you see an enemy base on the minimap, and you thing there are lots of enemy guys there (UAV is over it or something) , fly towards it and fire your minigun , 50% of the time you do this you will kill one or more enemy's like this.

Use the minigun on the plane a lot, against infantry, but also against AA sites, APC's, choppers, planes,... , you can't believe how powerfull this thing is, APC are blown up in 1 sec, kills infantry with one bullet I thing, even tanks got damaged by it

well this explains why pilots are always kicking my butt.....you make it sound so easy (I just need more practice I guess) and one final note stingers are useless.

The only tip i can give is find a server with noone on it or maybe 1 or 2 on it running wake island and practice. Usually some of those other peeps will be learners aswell so you can practice your dogfighting. I suppose you dont have to use wake island but i really like it for practicing as when im flying i seem to be magnetically attracted to trees and its mostly sea there also you can practice your bombing on the carrier.

One awsome trick is to dive while spining like a top the at the last moment do backflip & rise & dive again ;there is *NO WAY* that he will still be at your tail, in fact he may just be in front of u
