I used to use !burst. Not sure if ithe speed change is much though...it mostly depends on the seeds and such. Theres also bittornado and bittorrent.

ABC and Azureus are good Bit Torrent alternatives.

i use bitlord but used to use azureus, its good.

Azureus also has the Safepeer Plugin which blocks bad IPs. You can get something similar for all your P2P programs if you install Peer Guardian 2 (free).

Azureus is the most used I believe and its the best overall.

i use BitComet, i find it better, easier, faster overall than Azuerus.

bit comet is great:) , i use that and it downloads torrents faster than all teh other ones that i have tried

Its new and getting very popular. I think it has a filesize of like 97k but it has as much power as azureus (and no crappy java)
