I have not heard ANY VoIP since the patch. hmmm. think some settings were re-set when the patch was applied? maybe I (and you) need to go make sure VoIP is enabled? dunno. your post made me realize I have not heard one single VoIP communication on a server since the patch.

you know what? your right! i havnt been in a squad with communicati9on since the patch! ive even been on a VOIP allowed server, and noone responded to my calls. also, my favrite server has dissapered, and i cant find another good one with sharqui/karkand lineup 24/7

I think more people are buddied up on TS or Ventrilo servers, and disable their VOIP. Not due to the patch, but just continuing.

In Game VOIP works just fine.
I've been in a few random squads and my buddy and I have been on a bunch together.

after going back in and looking at my audio settings, I have found out that for some reason the game doesnt want to detect my mic, I know my mic works cuz I have talked to people on vent, anyone know of any reason that battlefield 2 will not detect my mic?

Before the patch came out I used to join squads and we would talk, communicate, laugh have fun and play the game, but since the patch came out I have not been in one good, fun, realy productive squad, its realy making me mad, I remember all the fun I had with all the team work, join a server to try to have this happen again, but no one has a mic, and no one really cares about team work, my gaming experience has dropped dont know why this would have anything to do with the new patch but for some reason I havent had as much fun with a squad on this one than the last one.

The last few days I have been having an absolute ball playing wake with island fantastic teamwork, heaps of talking and really really really close games. PLaying till 5am three nights in a row cos I cant bear to leave such great squad action.

Cheers to all wgo have played in my squad on Wake (Gamespace I think, or EA servers...cant remember)

And to all those who join my squad and then just plane whore all night, that is why I kicked you, nothing personal, just like a tight squad.!!!!
