Doesn't it get counted as a kill in the kill column? How could it not? I killed them with artillery. A kill is a kill. I didn't mention anything about points.

These are not tks, either.

1.02 gave you "kills" for all artillery kills, but with of course, no points.
1.03 traded "kills" for all artillery kills and gave you punish/tk immunity.

So, to answer your question: NO you do not get any kills nor points for artillery kills.

Use artillery to clear out areas to help your teammates capture a flag. It's not about the kills. You always want to help your team as much as you can while commander, and capping flags. The more flags they cap, the easier you'll win.. not only will you win, but you'll get double points

However, in 1.03.. does artillery kills reduce tickets still or did they remove that?

I think no points/kills for srty is good. its just too easy to take advantage of that.

they get points for re-supplying, and double points for leading squads so that should be fair.

Does anyone ever read any posts about commander arty points? I mean it's got the be the 7th or 8th thread since the patch with the same question each time? Maybe I just spend too much time here.

Since the 1.03 patch all kills you get with arty are not displayed in your score at the end of the round but they are added to your global score (k:d ratio) in the BFHQ. This I imagine was to avoid confusion about where the commander points were coming from. if it said 12 points over all and 15 arty kills people would wonder why they didn't get any points for them so DiCE just set the counter to 0 at the end of every round.

Just a quick question;

When commander, even though TK's do not give negative points or are punishable, do they still show up in BFHQ as "Teamkills?"

actually you do get kills just not points -- in bfhq the kills you get are recorded they're just not recorded ingame while you're playing and yes you do not get points for them anymore

You never have got kill point for artillery its nothing thats just been aded or anything.

As for getting shot down well maybe you were flying over the artillery as it was firing? Because that will kill you.

A couple of days ago I was flying J-10 (fast and high) on Dalian Plant and got shot down with artillery. It just made me laugh and congratulate the enemy commander. LOL
