I'm pretty frustrated at this point and need some good technical help.

I've downloaded the bf2_server_103.exe and installed it.
I've edited the ServerSettings.con file as follows:

I'm behind a netgear router which has a stupid built-in firewall. I've made the following firewall rules:

(I have "allow" "any" "any" configured for outbound traffic)


I believe these are all the ports in all the newsgroups that I've been able to find.

My netgear router sits behind a dsl modem, I have the DSL modem configured to give the external IP to the router external interface so:

Router
External Interface: 69.226.245.70
Internal Interface: 192.168.10.1
My PC Interface: 192.168.10.3

I'm forwarding all those packets from the router external interface to my internal pc interface and still can't get the server to work

I can get it to show up in the Server Lists, but whenever I select Join it says there is a connection problem. My router never show any dropped packets either:

One other thing. I can connect to the server from the localmachine, just not from the internet.

I have gone as far as removing the Norton firewall (un-installed it) from my system and disabled the XP firewall too.....

the problem lies with your netgear router, routers seem to have a problem allowing a server to be run,
try removing the router and see if the problem persists. if not then it is definately your router.

is that the same as the stand alone server in bf2 where you set your pc to be a local server.and hookup on lan.is the sv.interfaceip set to same as serverip,if same as standalone try allownatnegotiation[0]i had it set to [1] didnt work set to[0]worked.

Yeah, I figured out that it is the router however, it would be nice to figure out or have someone tell me/us why it won't work behind a router, it should be able to..... I used to host Ghost Recon Servers no problem behind Cisco Router, and NAT Firewall no problem.
