Snipe all you want I'll own you with my shock paddles.

I've never been able to figure out the M95.. I'm always getting punked with it, but I can't kill anything. I picked up my vet sniper badge just claymore whorin.

I'll take a look at the link. Thanks for the link :).

You know what else can do that? The M24, MEC, and Chinese sniper rifles. Gasp!

        owned.

m24 is the best sniper rifle accuracy wise, thus giving it best sniper rifle period.

Im starting to actually like the chinese sniper rifle. I tried it a few times in wake, and didn't do bad at all.

          It's all about preferance.

          I prefer the M95.

CargoSlug, I commend you on your efforts... but (dont take this the wrong way), that isn't a guide.. it's ridiculous.

What you were doing in the beginning of that video is what gives snipers a bad name. You were being completely useless to the team. You sat on some distant island trying to pick off a couple of infantry that would do nothing more than respawn on the same location.

First of all, if we're speaking tactically, snipers do not exist in a game like BF2. They exist in real life, but not here. A sniper's job is to take out priority targets from very long distances. This is not possible in BF2, as there are no priority targets .. and even there were, they respawn.

In battlefield 2, you need to act the role of a designated marksman, or sharpshooter. You travel with your squad and provide cover fire from a distance and lay traps down your path.

You still need to take/defend flags, you still need to engage infantry at medium-close range.

Another thing is, sniping has very little to do with hitting the shot. Anyone can learn how to do this with enough game time. Sniping in BF2 is about movement, tactics and distraction.

The biggest misconception that snipers have (which is why most of them suck and/or are useless) is that their role is to get on a roof, place a claymore behind them on the ladder, and comfortably shoot infantry. This is, of course, wrong.

When defending and assaulting, you have to be just as mobile as a medic or assault class. The only difference being, you should be able to pick off targets at medium range with 1 shot (to the head).

I'm not going to sit here and write my own guide, as I'm sure few will care... I just wanted to point out that what you did in that video wasn't anything spectacular and counter productive to your team.

In the average server, I get as many kills and flag caps as standard infantry, but with a much lower death count. My average is around 30 kills and 10 deaths. My best, as far as I recall, was 48 kills and 7 deaths. I'm not saying this to show off, but just pointing out that this is the class I play nearly every game and I'm very successful at it.

Thanks for the vid though (by the way, you spelled practice wrong).

Could you atleast spell PRACTICE correctly in your next video?
