Timeline?

I am still upgrading to play BF2 . My current specs are:

Celeron 2.66ghz :hmm:

1 gig pc 3200 :)

Asus P4S800 MOBO

Mx4000 64mb

I'm upgrading to this:

P4 3.0ghz HT supported

same ram

Same MOBO

6600gt

I've heard of people upgrading their hardware and then having trouble playing BF2. I plan on getting things on this order:

the vid card

then the processor

I'm just wondering if I should save myself a hassale (if there is any) and upgrade all the way then play or get the vid card, hang in there with the crap Celeron (served me well :)) and continue saving up towards the new proccessor. Thanks.

The video card will be very nice. My only warning is about the P4 as they run quite warm so make sure you have adequate cooling.

You got that right! But i still love my p4. If you are worried about heat get a northwood, they run on average 10c cooler w/ less cooling.

Ur timeline is correct. U should start with vid card... give a try on BF2.
Then the "hot things", loose that celeron and buy a (uP+MoBo) AMD.

Can't afford to go AMD because I would go PCI-E or whatever, anywho AMD and PCI-E SLI will be my next computer ina few years :). So you think I should just try it with he Celeron, hang in there and then jump for my 3.0?

I also noitced when looking on newegg.com they all said like 3.0E and it wa like that for each anyone know why?
