The bottom of the line is where the bombs will land. Its easier if you climb reall high and dive bomb to get more accurate strikes.You have to get a feel for where they will land, switch to the rear chase view to see where they land and make revisions. Practice, Practice, Practice!! (offline ofcourse)

Bombing is probably the hardest thing you'll do in a jet (next to landing) so keep a few things in mind.

1. Your bombs are moving the same speed as you are UNTIL you release them. Then they're moving slower and down at an angle. Therefore, if you're directly over an enemy, it's already too late to release.
2. The higher you fly, the more distance your bombs will cover before they hit the target. This is at an angular trajectory, they aren't falling straight down.
3. The faster you fly the further your bombs will fall laterally before they hit the target.

So, the keys to successful bombing are keeping it low and slow and sweeping in over your target level before you're in bombing range. The MiG bomber can handle flying about 620-650mph and still maneuvering. Don't even try that with the J10 or other fighters. They are decent bombers as well but it takes alot more skill and precision since they're designed for air to air combat mainly.

Also keep in mind not to get TOO close to your target. I've gotten within a few dozen feet (vertically) of the target, and upon dropping the bombs, have been rocked from behind from the blast. It didn't kill my jet but it did get damaged.

Bombing is **** easy, and so is landing, that hardest thing to do is to dogfight with the gun.

The post above me is completly wrong that is the exact way to get your ass shot out of the sky.

The way to bomb for perfect accuaracy is to go up to about 400, then come down at your target at a 70 degree angle, make sure the centre of the HUD goes over the target and then drop the bombs when the plane render blocks the view, both bombs will hit the target or either side of the target without a space in the middle and this will kill a tank or anything else.
The fighters arn't desgined for air to air combat they are designed just as much for bombing just precision bomb rather than carpet bomb, the bombers aren't desigined for dog fighting though.

The fighters aren't designed for air to air combat? LOL you're so wrong. The fighters are called fighters for a reason..to blow up helicopters, bombers, and other fighter jets. You can make the occasional bombing run but you'll waste time flying back to the base to re-up on your measley 2 bombs, whereas you have 6 missiles. Gee I wonder why you get alot more missiles than bombs.

Anyway, my post earlier assumed that number one, you were in a real bomber, and number two, that you were smart enough to pick up a copilot to run the laser guided rockets. You can get a ton of kills with the laser guided rockets if you keep the jet level and slow long enough for your copilot to get and sustain a lock. There are few weapons as devastating as a locked-on laser guided rocket.

You're probably one of the pilots that jumps in a bomber solo or gets a copilot then never keeps the jet straight long enough to give the copilot a lock. The only time I fly crazy in the bomber is to avoid fighters or to engage a dogfight against noob pilots. The rest of the time I'm focused on bombing and giving my copilot chances to get kills.

obviously u barely fly. Psyco is right. bombing is easy, u just need a little practice, landing is even easier to be honest. gunning down a good pilot is hard, although it's easy to gun down a noob pilot cuz they always fly straight. and also, making sure the missiles not hit ur friendlies is hard too.

Is easy to get some kills when a flag just gets nutralizedand none of your tm's[team mates] are by it.

I have to agree with Psycho on some of his points, bombing is one of the easiest skill a pilot can acquire after some hours of practice, but dogfighting with vulcans, oh boy, there are just so many factors involved in this, most dramatically your ping.

yes bombing is pretty easy i picked it up fast. i just not too good a dog fights tho.

Ok dumb question - how do you practice offline? The maps are for max 16 players when using my offline account and they have no aircraft at all?

Go online but find yourself an empty server to practise.

There is a mod that extends the bot limit to 64 to practice offline, Do a search.

You can either play Operation Clean Sweep SP. That has 1 jet.

Or

You can make a LAN game with a 64 map. Do that on one of the maps with lots of bridges and make them the targets.
