Stupid question about the DAO

How do you interrupt the reload. Was in a battle with a guy yesterday and he blasted me during the reload. I keep reading that there is a way to interrupt it (and I assume use those shells you've been pumping into it).

How?

You have to switch weapons to interrupt it. So, hit '1' and then '3' and it will then have, say 5 shells left if that is how many got loaded in before the change, and you can then immediately shoot.

With the Jackhammer, you can't interrupt the reload, even to change the weapon (or if it changes, you have to re-reload)

You need to practice with the timing of switching weapons and back again. If you do it too fast you'll just keep reloading. Its pretty buggy actually, on several occasions I've switched to my pistol and back to the DAO and he started jamming shells into it, but when I pulled the trigger it fired like normal. It wasnt actually being reloaded, the animation was just stuck. Item 171 on the glitch list, the DAO would rule even more if you could just press fire to interrupt, like EVERY other game ever!

indeed, switching to pistol or something and switch back very fast, and the dao is back ready for instant use, but only with the amound of bullets (or whatever) in it that where in it before you started reloading.

So, shooting all 12 shells out, then start reloading and switching to pistol and back won't help you because there will still be 0 shells in it

No realy, I have a full time job, live with girlfriend so have to get to the store and crap, make diner and stuff, have a social life in the weekend, but in the week when I come from work, I play BF2 for 2-3 hours and sometimes 4-5 hours. and just don't watch TV or almost never, and I do not sleep a lot (4-5h a night)
