I scanned the forums and didn't really find an answer I think I'm looking for.
I currently have an Audigy2 ZS card, and when I select the hardware option in the sounds section the sounds of the game actually sound worse then they do when I'm in software mode. I would think they would sound better, but for some reason software just seems to give overall better sounds. Moreover when the sound selection is on medium.. it sounds better then on High, any ideas on this?
The rest of my machine looks like this
P4 3.2Ghz
2 GB DDR2 @ 667Mhz
Nvidia 6800 GT 256MB
Kinda confused as to what else I can do to improve the sound.
*EDIT* I am plugged directly into the sound card with headphones and speakers.
