That'd be pretty awesome if someone made a police car and you could turn on sirens and/or lights. Get everyone in a police car responding to calls with teamspeak. :-P

Re: Police Car Mod?
it's definetly doable and wouldn't take too long. The only obstacle that one would encounter is the animation of the lights, which shouldn't be too hard. The problem with it is this:
When you make a car, or a chopper, or a plane, you have to use it in a different mod. That means you have to have the vanilla BF2 mod content + your new object. Well you certainly can not make people download 1 GB. So you have to find a way so when people install your police car, your installer copies their bf2 mod and creates your mod (in their harddrive) and then installs your car.
And the entire mod thing is just so new with the game. Activating the new mod creates many bugs, especially CTDs and on top of everything, you have to quit the game and restart it just to be able to play it.
so if you don't have a mod team consisting of mainly modellers, who dedicated themselves for making custom models for the game, the situation doesn't look good. Because once you have the mod team, you will have many objects and people might actually like the idea of having a different mod in their computer and switching back and forth would be good. But, considering the average gamer who plays BF2 is a n00b and his computer skills is nowhere near ours, he will just say "fuk it" and he ll either play it once or just don't play it.
I, myself, am thinking of making a 2 planes, they involve enormous amount of coding and modeling, and animations, but on the other hand, i m thinking, after 3 months of work, who is gonna use these?Comment
