UPgrading rank to First Sergeant bug...

the bug is that i cant get first sergeant even though i have all the requirements. FS is exactly the same point requirement as the master sergeant (20,000 and i have 35,000). but, there is a hook to it: you need all the basic infantry badges.

i worked hard to get the pistol and knife badge because i knew that would do it... but it didn't... then i noticed that i have veteran spec ops and sniper... so does that might mean that i have to get all the infantry badges again in veteran level? when it said all basic badges, do they literally mean that and you cant have any veteran badges, just basic?

It just means that you needed all the basic badges to have gotten the title of First Sergeant. You didn't so you don't get the name. YOu still get promoted as normal to the next rank though.

btw, there may already be a LOT of threads about this already open :)
