what if ubar doesn't know either

How does ubar get their information, I thought it was a feed from our friends at EA/DICE, but apparently not. have you seen the requirements for the Navy Cross, Golden Scimitar, and People's Medallion:

"-As best as we can tell, you get this simply for playing the game for an extended period."

So do they figure out the rest of the requirements by example or do they get a feed on those?

You get the campaign medals after a few hundred HOURS of play, or was it a few thousand? Either way if it totals up to the required time then bully for you.

Forget earning that for a while...except you don't know that every time you're in a ranked server...you're working on earning it.

Back on topic...I have no idea.

they just check some code i the game , they know where to look and how to interpretate, about the navy cross and those other medals in it's kind (mec and china) , well it's 250h played for USMC , 500 wins with USMC and a min round score of 100 , this is all global , so if you got 100 score like two months agos, still good. for the mec and china medal the same story

As far as people can tell. The 3 medals, Navy Cross, Peoples Medallion and the MEC one are for 250 hours within that army.

          Just time played.

There are other threads on this.

yes UBAR is not always correct, for exampl it says to get the basic sniper badge or whatever it is you need 5 kills as sniper. This is incorrect it is more than that, can't remember exactly now but was at least 7, could have been 10.

I made a thread about the service medals but I can't find it anymore. Anyways you needed 250h with that army, 500 wins with that army, and be #1 as that army 100 times (not necesarily get a gold star). Ubar is very accurate now, everything is correct except those and the theater service medals.

As far as I know, UBAR works closely with BF2S. Whenever someone gets a badge they didn't previously have, BF2S will make a quick note of their stats. Since BF2S holds thousands upon thousands of players, after a while, you have a lot of notes about a lot of players, and you can narrow down the requirement for a certain badge or medal pretty quickly.

Other than that, many people just play the game and when they get an award, they make note of their current scores, kills, or whatever else they think might be relevant.

There are also several hints to certain medals found inside the bf2 files that can be found with enough work.
