Help me add my bf2tracker.com signature please

Hello,

once more I've dragged my fingers across my keyboard and this time managed to register at this forum. Since I want you all to see how bad I am at this game I thought I'd get tracked by bf2tracker.com and then show my sig.

My problem is that I can't get my sig to show up
I get the link from bf2tracker.com which is like this:
http://sigimages.bf2tracker.com/”mynumber”/2/sig1.png
after which I go to(at this forum)
-User CP
-edit avatar
-I choose "custom avatar" and then paste the link into the box and click... and voila!
"Invalid URL" shows up.

What am I doing wrong? I know theres a problem with the link but can't fix it.

That's because you are using the wrong link. What's your number?

Your doing it wrong thats why, it doesnt go in the avatar box, it goes in the signature box, copy this code into the signature box.


you have to replace "mynumber" with your PID number, theres a thread on how to do that stickied.

According to rules, people may no longer have stats in their signatures, instead, you can add them to your profile, and an icon will show up together with the MSN, ICQ, AOL and AIM icon.

You can find it if you go to your User CP, Edit Profile and then under Additional Information.

Just out of curiousity, exactly why are we not allowed to have stats in our signatures? beats me...

To my knowledge it was because people were stuffing their signatures up with loads of unnecessary stuff, making their signatures humongous and so fourth.

In your reply I can see my own stats:laugh: so I guess they will show when someone quotes me or whatnot?

Can't blame you, just woke up myself...

If you look above the stat image, you will see a link to the picture, surrounded by [img][/img] tags... Image links with those tags around them automatically show up like normally instead of becoming text links.

No worries, I'm used to being confused 75% of the time.

My idea was just to include the image link and the code for the image link hoping you would catch on, sadly, I seem to fail at even that.

Now if only a moderator would move this thread into the appropiate forum...
