    So.. what's the problem ?

I dont know if someone else have the same problem but everytime im in or close to smoke, explosion (c4, arty), or wounded (not criticaly) the game begin to be slow as if there's a lag.

when I'm not close it's alright... so is it related to Leak of memory or bad vid card? ... or both ?

    I have
    -512 DDR
    -FX5200 128mb (dont laugh )

is there someone else who's experiencing the same problem ?

Its not lag, its a drop in frame rate. Bad graphics card and ram will do that

Not enough ram. And minimum requirement video card. I'd say that's your problem. Try turning down some of the graphics settings. Specifically the one that relates to effects I think it is.

Yeah, smoking anything stronger than plain tobacco will make everything around you lag.

There is nothing wrong with your computer -- it's a feature of the game.

Try standing near an explosion or tank blast IRL, and see how your personal "frame-rate" is affected.

More ram and a better card will sort it.

Nothing to do with your cennection at all and more to do with the performance of your computer.

I have the same issue, same card, except I have a gig of ram and a P4 HT 3.1 Ghz. It must be the card. Although smoke never bothers me, it's basically anything that has splash damage. Grenades, BH minigun, a tank firing nearby, arty, all these things, even if they don't hurt me at all, will sloooooow me way down for a while. It's one of the reasons I play sniper a lot - less explosions going off near me usually. Sometimes it's so bad I have to press escape and go to the menu to "reset" it.

WOW that card must be a right bottleneck on your system.

It assuredly is. I have been wanting to get a new vid card, but to do that I will probably need a new power supply, and if I am getting a new power supply I might as well get another hard drive, and if I am going through all that trouble I might as well just build a new rig and let the wife use this one LOL.
