When I installed BF2 for the first time 3-4 months back, I didn't set up my headset during the installation process. After picking up a headset, I set it up through XP and then set it up in BF2 and all was well. I assigned my right mouse button to "Say Squad" in the controls setup and it worked perfectly.
Fastfoward to 2 weeks ago. I reinstalled XP to address some issues I was having and this time as I was installing BF2 again, I used the headset setup utility. After I assigned the right mouse button to "Say Squad" it no longer triggers my mic, instead it displays "Say Team:" where you enter text. I put all the settings back to default under the "Controls" and now when I try to use the communication buttons (Q,T,V) it does nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I will add that both XP and BF2's VoIP test picks up audio input into the mic when I speak. In game is the only place that it will not work.
