Anyways, here are my specs in my own words:
AMD 64 3000+ Venice Core
Epox 9npa Motherboard
PCI-E Radeon x700
512x2 Corair Value RAM
ac97 Onboard audio
Not great, but I've been running bf2 on all high with 4x AA. Anyways, starting last night, for some reason, after retrieving/making accounts and stuff, my bf2 began crashing. The first time, there was some weird thing flashing up on the left side of the screen once in awhile. Then, my computer proceeds to freeze, then just sort of shut off. It is weird. The power of the system seems to stay on, but the screen goes black, and the monitor goes dead as well. Would that be a video card problem? Anyways, the next time I went into bf2, the screen had some weird things comin up ONCE in awhile. Again, after about 15 minutes of playing, my computer died. One time, things really started looking weird. Trees had weird black linings, and more random stuff came popping on my screen. Finally, about the 5th time, the computer crashed IMMEDIATELY after I joined a server and began playing.
I have never really had this problem... though i do recall a few times where my computer froze and died this way, but its never happened frequently like this.
Recently, my computer completely died, and i had to go through new power supply, RAM, MOBO, and cpu before i found out it was my cpu that had died.
Today, I got the new ATI drivers, reinstalled BF2, and tried again. All was going great :), but then it happened. I really want to get this problem fixed now, or atleast find out what the hell is causing it. MY guess is that its the video card...
PLEASE help me! I wanna get back to good ol' scrims and matches, but my computer can only run it for 10 minutes
Anyways, if this helps, I ran 3dmark today and got 2950 or something, and CSS seemed to be functioning fine when i just tested it out.
