    Using Fraps

Im not sure if this is in the right place if not please move this. but Ive seen some interesting bf2 movies and people say that they used fraps. Well I downloaded fraps tried it briefly so far so good. (woulda spent more time but Ive gotta leave for work now) Questions , im playing all high 1280x1024@60Hz should i lower anything while using fraps?
Im new to Fraps but im interested in making some movies myself ,What are the best settings when making a video to use? If you use fraps what settings are you using? thanks for any help

      Re: Using Fraps

I use fraps to capture BF2 demos (get better camera angles), I keep my game settings as normal, and I capture using fraps at 60fps to keep the gameplay smooth. I then use virtualdub to compress the avi from fraps using the xvid codec and converting to 29.97 fps so the file is compatible with other editing software. Do a search, there's a few posts about this stuff on these forums.

with my pc (see signature) i can record using fraps with highest graphic settings and 1152x.
but it's not really smooth. FPS sinks to 20-30.
