Sorry about all of the threads, like 3 i think? heres my last one, i finally took my card out-
So if anyone has known i've been having problems with my nvidia 5700. It's in a correct slot (pci) and it seemed to work fine on my pc for the first 2 or maybe 3 weeks. It was used, so that could have somthing to do with the problems i've been getting with it. I've heard it was probably over heating, and the wattage wasn't good enought for it, running on my own pc. So today i decided i would take it out, and see if it was burnt. It's not, and there is nothing about wattage on my pc on the inside of my case. I'm using a dell 4700. My fans were alwase on, and blowing out coolish air. But maybe they weren't cooling my card enough while it was running? The dell's case i'm using is very ventilated, tiny holes around the sides of the case, and two fans. If anyone whants to see the problems i've been getting, here are some pics-
This used to happen randomly, and i had to resort to turning off my pc for hours to let it, as i thought it needed, cool down. I don't think that's the problem though.
Two more things i would like to add is that i touched the card before i had my friend put it in, wich, he told me i wans't supposed to do. Could this create problems? and the card was used.
If anyone has any ideas why it isn't working, please post.
