Which maps are which?

Hey guys Im new so heres my question.

When I got to websites and download maps for BF2, What kind of maps do I need to download, to be able to play it (the map I download) in single player mode.

I have downloaded some in the past but they dont show up in single player mode, only when im online.

Any help to exsplain this would be great.

No maps you can download are playable in single player.

That funny Im running the merc 4.0 mod and all the maps I downloaded for the mod off there site I cant play in single player. Kinda screws the guy that cant afford highspeed internet.
