BF2 on Widescreen Laptop?

    BF2 on Widescreen Laptop?

    I have an HP zd8000 with a Widescreen 1440x900 17" display, powered by a 3.4 P4 and X600 mobility with 256 of dedicated RAM.

    When I try and run BF2, it shows the splash screen, the screen goes blank like its changing res and then drops me back to the desktop...

    Any ideas as to what the problem is and how I can fix it? The laptop seems to run everything else just fine...

                  I'm not... How do I do that? (I'm guessing I would need it to start in a window too? How is that done?)

                      speaking of widescreen laptops, im selling my loaded inspiron 8500 if anyone wants one. :)
