Hello i just got battle field 2 and it wont work, i open it up and it closes randomly.... right now i have

P4 2.8 G Processer
1.25 G of ram
SoundMAX soundcard(intergrated)
and a Geforce fx 5200 256mb.

well the geforce 5200 is the only thing that wont work(due to direct x 8.1) but my soundcard has problems too, the driver is not supported(even thought it says the card is) and there is no driver updates....

Let me remind you that my computer only has PCI slots(I ordered one with AGP, they didnt include it, dell idiots.)

So i am thinking of upgrading to these

SoundBlaster 24-bit Live (Confirmed Supported)
Geforce mx 5500 [Direct x 9.0] (Not Confirmed)

Will the graphics card work, and how good would bf2 run on my computer completely.

The Video Card is fine.. i use that one too. battlefield 2 installs Direct X 9.0 in the installation.

in some cases it doesnt. u must turn off all virus scanners before install.

ok thank you, just out of curiosity do i need to use a special program for it to run like 3danalyze

You shouldnt need to, although i did read somewhere that some people needed to. I cant remember the program they used though.
