Audigy 2 ZS Drivers, which ones wont crash game????

im having trouble finding the drivers for an Audigy 2 ZS that wont crash the game, i seriously cant play the game anymore, i crash almost every time in under 10 minutes right as a sound starts to play. I have heard about some OpenAL thing that you can replace. would that fix my problem? I am currently running the 5.12.10.1162 drivers from the creative site, i think there Beta but ther are the newest ones, next newest is prebf2 so whatever is messed up in bf2 wont hae a workaround.

I'm using the same card, same drivers as you and I'm not having any problems.

I was having some problems with EAX, but that was resolved. Before you start up the game, try going to the audio console and disabling any EAX effects...not sure if it'll help you with your problem but it's worth a shot.

well hardware obviously because thats the only way to get all the good effects and if you use software may as well have O/B

Well what you need to do is download the x-fi drivers from creative which contain drivers for most of the audigy cards BUT you will have to follow my instructions. Download the divers but don't auto install. Open the drivers folder and use the install icon in there. The open al icon is in the drivers folder next, open the support folder then it will be in the i386 folder. This should help out.

damn i wish i hadnt seen this post i havnt had any problems with my sound card just every other imaginable thing you can think of.but now that i know this i can feel it coming on its going to get me.{momma}

I got a 2 ZS about 3 weeks ago and not a bit of bother , I use the update feature on Creatives site to update the drivers automaticaly. Try that mate !
