Need help, BF2 DvD is fubar

I've been having problems with BF2 lately, so I decided to reinstall the game to see if it fixes anything, and to my dismay I discover that the dvd is fuxored and it won't install the game anymore. It just hangs there and does **** all. So I tried making an image with Alcohol 120%, took almost two hours, and it doesn't work either: after entering my cdkey and installation directory, it starts giving this error during installation:

"MD5 Error: c:\program files\ea games\battlefield 2\mods\bf2\movies\dice.bik"

With two choices, retry or ignore. Retry doesn't work, ignore just leads to the next file and the same problem.

So my dvd is fuxored, what am I supposed to do: download the warez version?

Contact EA and they will arrange to replace your DVD.

Otherwise, try and get it professionally cleaned. You may find a place near you that does it.

that is a good idea, dl the image of it, its not really illegal if u use ur cd key is it?

But he'd be SOL if they updated BF2 and upgraded the copy protection so that virtual drives didn't work..

It's ALWAYS good to have an original.
