  • Help with CD key

    Hey guys-

I Reinstalled my windows OS, and some how I losy my CD key to BF2. I have the orginal game installed files, but i cant use them without installing the game. I also have the my proof of purchase and the orginal game disc.

Is there anyway I can use the orginal came files, or my original player profile to discover my cd key? I Do Not Want a hacked key, or a way to get a hacked key- I just want my orginal CD key.

If anyone has any ideas Id really appreciate it.

    dave.

No, if you reinstalled Windows then there is no way to recover your cd-key, sorry.

There is no way to recover your cd key now that you have reinstalled your Windows OS, because the CD Key is stored within the registry. When you reinstall windows, it deletes everything in the registry. However If simply did a Windows Repair, you may be able to recover it.

In any case, your CD Key should be located on the back of your manual.

                              Ok- I got it working..

For anyone ever in this weird situation where you have to windows(es) installed on your PC- all you need to do is go to windows/ system32/ config and take the software hive of the registy and move it into the new reg. with RegEdit.

and do as you need from there.
