Stupid BF2 News Box...

The gay BF2 news box keeps getting in the way, don't you think? I mean, I try join my friend's server though Xfire and then it logs in and SHOULD join the server -- But the BF2 news box stops it. You have to close it and the game you were going to join DOESN'T go in. So you have to manually put in the IP and join.

Is there a fix for this to turn off the news box or something?

I think you have click a box to accept the news-box when you install bf2 or the 1.03, otherwise it wont pop up if I'm not mistaking...

No you don't. Just ignore the box as though it wasn't there and install the ase/xfire fixes.
