I want better fps but whos guide is right?

i went over the forcewaretweakguide found at

and they said to put anistrophic mp optimization and Ansotropic sample optimization on for best performance but on another guide
http://webpages.charter.net/train/Nvidia.html they say to leave it off...so who's right? which gives better performance?

another quetoin to tag along...does it matter? cuz i dont believe that i am using anistrophic filtering...prob just trillinear
