WTF is happing here?

I just got my new video card put in atleast a month ago, but for the past 2 or 3 weeks i've been getting crap all over my screen, somtimes in-game the screen will look like wallpaper for a house and random blocks and stripes are all alver the screen.

Sometimes there are little things glitching on the screen (wich i have some pics of)

can somone explain this to me? video card over heating?





if i turn my pc off for a while, it goes away. But then it will come back if i leave it on.

i need help here.

yeah, that looks like a video memoery problem. You could try seeing if the chips are hot whilst the problrm is apparent. If its too hot to touch, its over 60oC which could be a problem. ou could try installing a video card cooler, or adding some heatsinks (or even cleaning the old ones!). Failing that you could try upping the voltage a little bit if you BIOS supports it (AGP volttage that is!). Also it might be a PSU problem. Is your PSU a high wattage and good quality unit ? if you have added a new card it might be your PSU which isnt up to the job.

Yea, looks like a heat issue, or if you have OC'ed it, then un OC it. Make sure the case has good ventilation and that the card doesnt have dust all over it. Make sure all the fans in your case are working properly too.

Both fans are on, when i touch the slot in the back where it's in, it isn't hot at all, and both fans are clear and when i put the vid card in it wasn't dusty. But, i don't know what BIOS is and nothing about wattage.

That is most likely the problem, although this didn't happen in the first week or 2 i had it in.

Now i can't even get into bf2 without my pc shutting down!?

Ok so i had a friend change back to my intel chip, nothings wrong now, so it's obviously the used nvidia card i bought. How do i change back?
