EAX not working properly

Yeah, EAX isn't working correctly at all for me. When I enable hardware acceleration, some sounds work and others don't.

For example, when I fire my weapon I don't hear it, but I can hear the bullets impacting on whatever I'm shooting at, and when I'm in a tank I can't hear the main gun fire, but I can hear the shell when it explodes.

I've attached a pic of my device manager that shows what driver I'm using and everything...

Please help!

So you can hear all the sounds of you disable EAX?

Actually, all of the sounds work unless I use hardware acceleration.

Hrmmm... Make sure you have the most up-to-date drivers installed. So if you put the settings to software, do they work ok?

I have the beta drivers that were released last month, and I've tried using the latest official drivers, and that didn't work.

It does work if I use software, but my system performance is greatly degraded on software...

Yea, it sounds like the card has some problems. The game is fine, as it would have the same errors when using the software as it would when using the hardware. I dont know much about sound cards, so i cant rly help anymore, bu tim almost certain that its your sound card thats not working properly.

I think I figured it out...

I went to the Audio Console and disabled advanced EQ. It worked last time I played, I guess I'll find out if it took care of the problem next time I play.
