why does no one seem to be playing support since the patch ?

Not many people played it before the patch.

But yea i have noticed that there are even less now.

support was the best class if you where a point farmer.... but not after the patch..

Although with it easier to get unlocks and the PKM being a beast..

I still play it. I average around 80 points a game by going around and throwing ammo packs at random people. They seem to register and reload faster than med packs heal, so it works. I get around 24 kills with my PKM and about 27 deaths, so my ratio is pretty bad. I'm not the type of person that throws 80 ammo packs onto the ground in one area, unless there's a bunch of AT or snipers on a roof and I need to leave. I will throw all my ammo packs on the roof and go do whatever I wanted to do. Then, 2 minutes later it says,
"You got an ammo giving point!
You got an ammo giving point!
You got an ammo giving point!
You got an ammo giving point!
You got an ammo giving point!"

But the only reason I might be detered to do something else other than support is the amount of G36C's around. They're quite literally the AWPs of BF2.

They are... also everyones seems to be more accurate than mine, where can i take my G36C for a refund lol

After the new patch, i've given up the sniper (not fully though) and i unlocked the PKM and the Dao-12. I ahve to say, all the bad things which people say about the support, well, they're morons. The PKM is few shot killer and not as innaccurate as many people think. I brought down a supercobra with one. I've heard people unlocking the g36c as their first, i would like to say this, unlock the PKM FIRST, think about it, three people running at you, which one would mow them all down first?

Hmm, I unlocked the medic unlock first though, then the G36 and I've just unlocked the jackhammer.

yeah but in a medium distance firefight you will (well in my experiance) get owned. Still think the best gun in game is the default assault, with noob tube

I'm currently alternating between support and engineer to get a medal. If I'd had enough hours in, by now I would of had the expert resupply badge several times. Doesn't feel any different to me.
