Driver (special) Ability points

I had a question maybe someone can answer it... What are Driver ability points and how can you gain them?

I'm not shure if there are other ways but you will get them if you pick up others along the way. If you are a squad leader I think you will get a point if someone spawns on you in the vehicle. I think it only happens with the APC.

The reason I'm unshure is because in all my hours of playing this has happened only a few times..

Driver Ability points are giving to you by some using there skills such as a medic or engineer for example if your a blackhawk pilot and your getting shoot at and one of your guys gets hit but doesn't get killed then the medic can heal him therefore giving you a Driver Ability point,same thing would go with the engineer repairing in mid-air

Yea, I've noticed that as well. But not just as a squad leader. Not sure how many X spawns there needs to be but if peeps spawn in your vehical you get "driver ability points". It happens for me only on long games where I pilot BH's for most the game.

there are 2 ramps in karkand and if you jump them while driving an apc you will get ability points also

I think thats if someone in the vehicle your in kills someone.

You dont get points for driving over ramps.

theres one near on the square which drops down onto the street leading to the market , but I cant remeber where the other is

If you are an Engineer and you drop all your mines around a flag, then jump in an APC to go somewhere else, a Support guys can jump in the APC too and get points for resupplying you. This is him using his ability, and you as the driver gain points for assisting that ability.
Hence "Driver ability assist".

You get them for dodging rounds from APC's also if your team mates hit people as to hit them you have to be in the right position for them to aim at them you get them generally for good driving or making sure your team mates are in a good postion to hit people with the guns on the vehicle.

When I fly I try to provide a stable platform for the gunner( not to many radical turns) so the gunners get a shot adn I can't see the target, but I antisipate where the targets might be. I good crew on the black hawlk can rack up alot of points.

I never knew what they were... and I have gotten 148 points from that.

Yes I get these type of points constantly when as a sqaud leader flying a BH. I'm always a medic so when my crew gets hit I get healing points as well. But the driving ability points seem to pop up when I evade enemy fire or allow my gunner to get good shots.

Not exactly how the scoring engine works though which probablly doesn't answer the question here. :hmm: :p
